Be A
Hero Month
Counties
and cities across Florida are proclaiming November as "Be
A Hero Month" and establishing a "Be
A Hero" day to encourage blood donation.
 Florida’s Blood Centers (FBC) is
proud to partner with local cities and counties and the Van Duzer
Foundation to encourage blood donations throughout Florida during
Be a Hero Month in November. Our goal in November is to
raise public awareness of the need for a reliable blood supply, and
to encourage people to donate blood regularly to maintain that
reliability.
Counties and cities throughout Central
and South Florida are issuing
proclamations and resolutions in recognition of Be a Hero
Month, with specific Be a Hero Days observed by each county and the
cities in which they are located. For example, we are having a
large event on November 11 at our Villages location and another on
November 29 at our Headquarters location (click
