ISBT 128ISBT 128 is a system for identification, labeling
and processing of human blood, tissue, and cellular therapy
products using an internationally standardized barcode system.
Florida’s Blood Centers has begun the process needed to convert our
blood supply from the current Codabar labels to ISBT 128 labels to
meet the deadline mandated by AABB. The intended implementation
date is third quarter 2009. We will keep you updated with our
progress, and we will update this website with additional
information for your use in the future.
