On the
anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, a number of businesses
and organizations from Martin County have joined Florida’s Blood
Centers to hold a 2-day blood drive that will aim to collect more
than 300 units of blood. Since each unit of blood can be used to
help save the lives of three people, the drive will potentially
save more than 900 lives! “Saving 911 lives
on 9/11” is sponsored by the Crary Buchanan Law Firm, one of the
oldest law firms on the Treasure Coast.
“A community blood
drive is the ideal way to honor those who died in the 9/11 tragedy
and those who have given their lives in support of our freedom”,
said managing partner Mike Crary who is an 8-gallon blood
donor. Other businesses and organizations who
are also lending their support include: the Seacoast National Bank,
the Indian River State College, the Martin Memorial Foundation, Big
Apple Pizza and The Experts, among others.
