September 11, 2011, marks the ten year anniversary of 9/11. Floridians rallied together and gave blood in record numbers to support our country on that fateful day. The federal government has declared this a National Day of Service and Remembrance and encourages people to perform civic duties, such as giving blood.
 
This year, Florida’s Blood Centers will be holding dozens of special remembrance blood drives September 9 through September 11, 2011. All blood donors at these events will receive a FREE commemorative tee shirt.
